The Dundas Lions Club is a group of community-minded individuals who take pride in the services they render to make their community a better place to work and live.

We meet twice monthly (1st & 3rd Tuesdays) from September to June. Meetings are from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Lions Community Centre, 10 Market St.

With community support and donations, we are able to aid through our services:

     In Our Community
   • Support community youth
   • Support local school programs
   • Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation fund raiser
   • Sponsor local events, such as the yearly Easter Egg Hunt
   • Support the Dundas Food Bank
   • Support local youth sports programs

     Financially Assist
   • The Canadian National Institute for the Blind
   • The Canadian Diabetes Association
   • Lions Foundation (Oakville) Dog Guides Program
   • The Salvation Army
   • Dundas Community Services Seniors in Need
   • Other causes as they come to the club's attention

The 50th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Dundas Driving Park will take place on Good Friday, March 29, 2024.
A Must-Not-Miss event for the children and families of Dundas. Starts at 8 am. Don't be late!
The Dundas Lions have continued the tradition started in 1972. The Dundas Lioness Club also helps out at this event.

The 17th Annual Dundas Lions Craft Show held at the Dundas Lions Memorial Centre will also take place on Good Friday,
March 29, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be up to 40 vendors.
A great way to pass the time on the Good Friday holiday. Admission $2.00, children under 12 FREE.
Lunch can also be had at the Lion's Club Cafe.
The Dundas Lioness Club also helps out at this event.

The 20th Annual Ribfest held at the Dundas Lions Memorial Centre will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, starting at 6 pm.
Dinner will be served at 7 - 8:30, with a DJ, Door Prizes, a 50/50 Draw, a Silent Auction and a Wine Sale. Tickets are $45.
The Dundas Lioness Club also helps out at this event.

10th Annual Motorcycle Ride for Autism, Sunday, August 25, 2024, starts and ends at the Hamilton Airforce Club.
Includes a Poker Run and a BBQ at the finish.
Registration is $25 but is included with a donation of $100 or more.

Lions Club Food Drive, Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Food may be dropped off at the Salvaion Army Food Bank or the Metro Grocery Store.




1931

Chartered January 15 to provide food, clothing and toys to the families of the unemployed.

1938

Built the outdoor swimming pool on Creighton Road.

1939 - 1945

Active in the war effort and provided amenities to the HMCS Dundas.

1950

Donated the land for the Dundas Arena and assisted in the construction.

1960

Leadership for the building of the CNIB building in W. Hamilton and accomodations for the blind at Lake St. Joseph.

1951

Built the Lions Home for Seniors and maintains it on a non-profit basis.

1970

Donated the land and chaired the committee for the enclosed pool on Creighton Road.

1973

Initiated the purchase of the armoury by the town and underwrote the cost.

1980

Provided the property for the Centre for the Arts.

1982

Assisted in the campaign and cost to rebuild the Dundas Arena.

1984

Donated generously to the building of Canine Vision, Canada Guide Dog School in Oakville.

1987

Presented a van to the CNIB, Hamilton.

1988

Donated $5,000 to Copetown Lions in their drive to build a Community Centre.

1988

Donated to the Lions Hearing Dog program.

1991 - 1992

Donated $25,000 to the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton.

1992 - 1993

Donated $15,000 to Variety Village.

1993 - 1994

Presented a van to North Wentworth Mentally Challenged.

1998 - 2003

Donated $150,000 to the Capital Campaign for the St. Joseph's Villa Building Fund.

1998 - 2005

Donated over $50,000 to Rygiel Homes from Pub-Putt.

2001 - 2002

Donated $5,000 to the Lions Camp Dorset.

2001 - 2005

Donated $20,000 to CHOICES to assist in purchasing a group home.

2005 - 2006

Donated $5,000 to CNIB, $3,500 to Easter Seals Camp.

2007 - 2008

Donated $5,000 CNIB, $2,500 to Dundas Rotary Rink.

2008 - 2009

Donated $3,350 CDA.

2009 - 2010

Donated $5,000 CDA, $2,000 to Salvation Army.
